1. Educated policymakers on the need for federal policies that support responsible exploration and development of the full range of U.S. energy sources, including promoting incentives and other policies that can be effective in encouraging such activities;
2. Opposed efforts to reimpose moratoria on oil and gas exploration and production in the U.S. Outer Continental Shelf;
3. Opposed efforts to rescind onshore oil and gas leases on Western federal lands;
4. Opposed suggestions that the previous moratorium on oil shale commercial leasing should be reinstated. Continued to educate policymakers on the need for a commercial leasing program to stimulate development of viable oil shale technologies.
