The Estate Tax Relief Act of 2009 (H.R.3905): A bill to amend the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 to repeal the 1-year termination of the estate tax, to increase the estate and gift tax unified credit, and to coordinate a reduction in the maximum rate of tax with a phaseout of the deduction for State death taxes. The organization supports repeal of federal estate taxes.

The Clean Water Restoration Act (S. 787) - A bill to amend the Federal Water Pollution Control Act to clarify the jurisdiction of the United States over waters of the United States. The organization opposes an expansion of the Clean Water Act.
The Chesapeake Clean Water and Ecosystem Restoration Act of 2009 (S. 1816/H.R. 3852) - Legislation to amend the Federal Water Pollution Control Act to reauthorize the Chesapeake Bay Program and require the Environmental Protection Agency to establish a Chesapeake Bay protection program, and other purposes. Of interest to the organization are the potential implications on other watersheds across the United States.
Congressional Amicus Curiae Brief to the United States Supreme Court urging review of the National Cotton Council v. EPA decision in which the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals vacated a 2006 EPA Clean Water Act rule relating to pesticide use. Of interest to the organization is the regulation of crop protection products used in the production of food and fiber.

Of interest to the organization are proposed restrictions on antibiotics approved by the Food and Drug Administration for use in livestock and poultry production.

FY 2010 Agriculture Appropriations Bill - A bill making appropriations for Agriculture, Rural Development, Food and Drug Administration, and Related Agencies. Of interest to the organization are provisions pertaining to poultry trade with China, Agriculture in the Classroom program, conservation programs, etc.
Also of interest is the removal of the 2009 Omnibus Appropriations limit on Section 32 expenditures so that additional purchases of surplus meats, poultry, dairy products, fish, fruits and vegetables can be made by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) to benefit those in need. In the context of helping pork and dairy producers struggling through extremely low market prices, the organization urged the Missouri Congressional delegation to work with the USDA in exploring options for assistance.

Reauthorization of the Safe, Accountable, Flexible, Efficient Transportation Equity Act: A Legacy for Users (SAFETEA-LU) - Legislation authorizing funds for surface transportation projects and safety programs administered by the U.S. Department of Transportation. Of interest to the organization are provisions applicable to agricultural transportation (i.e. the transport of farm commodities, equipment, supplies, etc).
